Most often, Project Playdate sitters are hired directly by College Nannies and Tutors -a placement service for professional long term babysitting and on-call nannies. If we need additional help, Project Playdate will hire it’s own babysitters who must submit three references that consist of former employers and non-related personal contacts. These references are contacted by the Project Playdate team after a face-to-face interview is conducted. Previous childcare experience is a must. At each event, there will always be a CPR-Certified babysitter on site. Most often, Project Playdate babysitters are recruited from top universities across New York City and have a special interest in social services or early childhood education.
Of course! When you sign up please indicate any special needs or accommodations for your child. Project Playdate avoids serving foods that contain nuts and can offer dairy or gluten free options upon request.
Our pajama parties are always partly staffed by either UrbanSitter or College Nannies & Tutors. In case three hours aren’t enough for a good time, now you can sign-up with one of these services and request additional hours for Project Playdate events. This means that you’ll have to meet our caregiver in advance so that you will feel comfortable with him or her bringing your child(ren) home for private care.
College Nannies and Tutors is a placement service for professional long term babysitting and on-call nannies. We ask that you give us 48 hour notice for any cancellations. This way, we can limit our expenses based on the amount of food ordered and number of caregivers present. We are happy to transfer your tickets to another event with notice, but are currently not offering any refunds.
We do not allow children to stay after the designated time for pick up. In order to maintain a positive relationship with our generous hosts, it is important to clean and close on time. If parents are more than a half hour late, we will have to charge a late fee at $1/minute overtime that will be sent as an invoice. We hope you understand! To prevent this charge, Project Playdate has an extended hour service for parents that plan to stay out longer than the duration of our event. We will match your family with a quality caregiver from College Nannies and Tutors before the event so that your children can be taken home for private care.

Guest passes are available for customers that purchase any Project Playdate Play Pack. Each Play Pack family is welcome to two guest passes that will provide free admission for an entire family at an upcoming event. The only catch is that they are only valid for families that have never used our service before.
