New York, NY – Project Playdate is pleased to announce a daytime drop off playdate service this upcoming summer. By leveraging brings expertise in drop off evening pajama parties, Project Playdate will provide young children with the opportunity to visit some of New York City’s top children’s attractions, including the American Museum of Natural History, Madison Square Park, and more!
Under this program, children can be dropped off at selected locations to for a scheduled and structured summer field trip. These major New York City attractions, as seen on sponsor site MommyPoppins, are chaperoned by the best child care providers from UrbanSitter. As with its evening playdates, proceeds from summer playdates will go toward supporting Powerhouse NYC, an organization raising money to help at-risk mothers by empowering them with economic stability.
About Project Playdate
Project Playdate is an innovative childcare service that specializes in drop off events and evening care for kids. Most known for it’s fun and engaging pajama parties at the best play spaces in town, like Kidville and Playgarden, Project Playdate can be found every weekend in one of six neighborhoods including Tribeca, Union Square, Park Slope, Murray Hill, and on the Upper West and East Side. These playdates also showcase top nannies available for private care from companies like UrbanSitter and College Nannies & Tutors. A night with Project Playdate for ages 2-6 includes a healthy dinner, story time, arts and crafts, a dance party, games and songs, a featured film and more!
Project Playdate, started in 2009 by two undergraduate young women at NYU, raises money for Powerhouse NYC, an organization that seeks to help at-risk mothers by empowering them with economic stability. By donating its proceeds to such a cause, Project Playdate brings sustainability and innovation to the world of non-profits and social enterprise. Although our playdates at Gramercy are usually on a Saturday night from 5:30-8:30pm. We are offering a special, one-time event on Valentine’s Day. It’s a Thursday night, so we thought 6-9pm made better sense for you. Hope to see you then!

Project Playdate supports Little Swappies for many reasons. The model is green and allows for the recycling of valuable goods. The business is social and supports our same mission of helping young moms in need. All left over items are donated to Covenant House. The event is fun! Parents and kids alike can participate. Project Playdate is growing. Thanks to the support from Playgarden and all of the families in Tribeca that have made our events a success, we now have the opportunity to scale throughout Kidville locations in New York. Now, Project Playdate gets to serve more families looking for a way to get out of the house and have fun in the city for both parents and children. In doing so, we can raise more money for the vulnerable young mothers in NYC that need us most.
