This is Project Playdate. New York City’s premier service for alternative group child care.

Pajama Parties: Our 3-hour evening playdates occur every weekend at 6 locations (Park Slope, Tribeca, Union Square, Gramercy, Upper East and Upper West Side) in NYC and growing! Your children will get to eat a healthy dinner; participate in educational activities, arts and crafts, story time, dance time, free play; sing-a-long, watch a featured film and so much more! Ages 2-6 at participating playspace locations.

Weddings and Special Events: Sometimes, special events aren’t complete without the presence of the whole family, including the kids. Sometimes, adults yearn for the romance and atmosphere of a child-free celebration. At your wedding, Project Playdate will host a children’s party in the next room so parents can enjoy the dance floor. At festivals and shows; holidays and birthdays; corporate events and fundraisers; you can hire Project Playdate for a party your guests won’t forget. The kids will thank you for it!

Great Cause: Project Playdate operates under a 501(c)(3) status with a mission to help families in need. All proceeds are donated to this cause outlined by PowerhouseNYC. So, moms and dads go have fun, your kids will be busy saving the world!

Caregiver Connections: Looking for private care? Project Playdate staffs its events with caregivers from top nanny services in NYC. At Project Playdate events, your children will build relationships with our trusted staff. Rather than navigating the stressful process of hiring a nanny or sitter on your own, you’ll be connected with a selection of excellent caregivers available for private care.

Welcome to our Project Playdate website! After piloting this program from 2009-2011, Project Playdate grew 4X the size in 2012. We could not have come so far without the leadership in management, the execellent caregivers that make up our staff, the generosity of our playspace partners and sponsors, and most of all, the loyalty of our families and children that keep coming back and spreading the word. I am eternally grateful to you all.

Project Playdate is now slowly but surely becoming New York City’s premier evening and special event childcare service.
