Coney Island Tour
*FULL DAY ONLY*
Ages 3+. Some of New York City’s most historic children’s attractions are located in Coney Island, Brooklyn. This is about a 1 hr commute from most Manhattan locations - but we can guarantee it is worth the trip! We’ll decide on a drop off and pick up location that is convenient for you and include this travel time as part of our plan. When we arrive in Coney Island, we’ll start with a tour of the New York Aquarium. The New York Aquarium is the oldest continually operating aquarium in the United States, having opened in Castle Garden in Battery Park, Manhattan in 1896! We’ll explore 14 acres and see 266 species of aquatic wildlife. We’ll learn about issues facing the ocean and its inhabitants with special exhibits and educational activities for kids. After our morning of enriching activity, we’ll grab some lunch at Cyclone Cafe then head over to Luna Park for an afternoon of FUN! Luna Park, which opened in 2010 and is run by the same folks behind Victorian Gardens, has a bunch of family-friendly rides that are appropriate for all ages.
These tours are designed to be parent-free, though parents are welcome to join for as long as they’d like! Project Playdate maintains a 1:4 ratio of experienced child care providers to children in the 3-6 age range and a1:6 ratio for children in the 7-10 range.
We’ll confirm any adjusted or specific details with you then send over a finalized playdate plan before our special day!
All tours include meals, snacks and additional enrichment lead by our playdate specialists - like arts and crafts - so that your children will have a fully immersive experience.
At least 48 hours required for planning a private tour. Refunds provided only if the date is unavailable.
Admission fees, add-ons, and $20 service fee will be included on the final invoice.
